Student Summer Funding Opportunities

Each year, the Lewis Center for the Arts provides students the opportunity to spend the summer pursuing or researching a project in the creative and performing arts or participating in an internship, residency or fellowship. Current first-year students, sophomores or juniors may submit applications for course, travel, and/or research costs related to their studies. Certain opportunities below may also be available for current seniors. Award winners and amounts are determined by a committee of Lewis Center faculty members.

Funding Opportunities

Most general summer funding requests should be submitted through the Lewis Center Summer Funding application portal. Funding is available with support from multiple generous donors. Students need not apply for any particular funding source when proposing a project to this funding opportunity; the committee will determine what funding source is used for each student’s project.

Awards of particular note within the Lewis Center funding are the Alex Adam ’07 Award and the Mallach Senior Thesis Fund. Additional funding is available with typical awards ranging from $250 to $1,500.
